-Trekk to Holbung Hill where the sunsets are just amazing. Overnight here is also a great experience and a chance to sleep under a sky full of stars.

-Explore the amazing waterfalls. Samosir Island is home to some breathtaking waterfalls. The most impressive is the 120-meter tall Sipiso-Piso Waterfall. Another nice waterfall to check is the Binangalom Waterfall, which cascades into the lake.

Baliem Valley Cultural Festival in West Papua

The annual Baliem Valley Cultural Festival is always  held on August in the highlands of Jayawijaya -Wamena, West Papua. The three main tribes; Dani, Lani & Yali including the subtribes are joining the event for three days of celebrations and dancing. The festival aims to introduce and preserve the values and culture of traditional tribes and to symbolise the high spirit and power that have been practised for generations. A trip to West Papua is is a once in a lifetime experience.
