Baliem Valley Cultural Festival in West Papua

The annual Baliem Valley Cultural Festival is always  held on August in the highlands of Jayawijaya -Wamena, West Papua. The three main tribes; Dani, Lani & Yali including the subtribes are joining the event for three days of celebrations and dancing. The festival aims to introduce and preserve the values and culture of traditional tribes and to symbolise the high spirit and power that have been practised for generations.
