An Extraordinary Island-Hopping Adventure

This journey, from Bali to Komodo, takes you to the heart of an archipelago where life unfolds to the rhythm of centuries-old traditions and breathtaking landscapes.
Far more than a motorcycle adventure, this carefully designed itinerary combines spectacular roads, authentic encounters with local communities, immersion in Indonesia’s rich culture, and unforgettable experiences, including the opportunity to swim alongside whale sharks.

Here, the motorcycle becomes an extraordinary way to explore, allowing you to leave the conventional tourist routes behind and discover an Indonesia that remains authentic, vibrant, and largely untouched. The complex inter-island logistics have been meticulously planned down to the smallest detail, ensuring smooth and seamless travel from one island to the next.

Finally, each accommodation has been carefully selected for its unique setting and high standard of comfort, extending the travel experience in some of the most beautiful locations across the Indonesian archipelago.

A Seamlessly Orchestrated Journey
Island after island, the journey unfolds naturally, without interruption or loss of rhythm. Your motorcycles accompany you throughout the entire adventure, creating a true sense of continuity as the landscapes constantly evolve around you.

Every day brings a new immersion into Indonesia: coastal roads overlooking turquoise waters, endless rice terraces, lush tropical forests, smoking volcanoes, and vibrant villages where daily life continues much as it has for generations.

Every aspect of the itinerary has been designed to maximise the pleasure of riding and the authenticity of local encounters, without ever compromising on comfort or the intensity of the experience.

In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner, the perfect opportunity to relax after your journey, savour Balinese cuisine, meet your fellow riders, and receive a briefing about the adventure ahead. DAY 2 · SEMINYAK > DEPEHA | 115 km
The adventure begins!

Leaving the vibrant atmosphere of Seminyak behind, we gradually enter a greener and more authentic Bali. Quiet coastal roads lead us through charming villages before we stop at one of the island’s sacred Hindu temples, where spirituality and tradition remain deeply rooted in everyday life.

The route then follows scenic secondary roads winding through emerald rice paddies towards the mountain region of Munduk. The final section of the day offers spectacular mountain roads with sweeping bends before descending once again towards the northern coast.

Accommodation:
Nestled in peaceful natural surroundings, Sanglung Villas & Suites is a true haven of tranquillity. Its spectacular infinity pool overlooking the hills provides the perfect setting to unwind after your first day on the road.

DAY 3 · DEPEHA > PADANGBAI | 110 km
Today’s ride takes us along some of Bali’s most beautiful roads, crossing magnificent terraced rice fields that have shaped the island’s landscape for centuries.

The scenery changes dramatically as we approach the slopes of Mount Batur, where we ride across ancient lava fields left behind by past volcanic eruptions. We then continue to Besakih Temple, Bali’s most important Hindu sanctuary, known as the "Mother Temple", majestically located on the slopes of Mount Agung.

In the afternoon, we head towards the harbour of Padangbai via the winding roads of the beautiful Sidemen Valley, famous for its breathtaking rice terraces and peaceful rural scenery.

Accommodation:
The elegant Alila Manggis Hotel & Spa offers refined comfort in a privileged seaside location, making it the ideal place to spend the night before tomorrow’s ferry crossing.

DAY 4 · PADANGBAI > SEKOTONG (LOMBOK) | 100 km
An early start this morning as we board the ferry from Bali to Lombok.

After approximately four hours at sea, we reach an island renowned for its pristine beaches, dramatic coastline and untouched landscapes. Once back on our motorcycles, we explore several traditional temples hidden among lush tropical vegetation before continuing south towards the coast.

The ride combines quiet roads, spectacular ocean views and the first taste of Lombok’s relaxed atmosphere.

Accommodation:
Overlooking the ocean, Amber Lombok Beach Resort blends perfectly into this still largely untouched environment. Its contemporary architecture, spacious suites and peaceful setting create the ideal place to relax after a rewarding day of riding.

DAY 5 · SEKOTONG > SENGGIGI | 60 km
A pleasant morning ride takes us north through rolling hills, rice fields and traditional villages before reaching our hotel around mid-morning.

Before lunch, we board a private speedboat bound for the beautiful Gili Islands. Lunch is served on the beach of Gili Air, followed by an unforgettable snorkelling session at Turtle Point, one of the area’s most spectacular coral reefs. Colourful tropical fish are everywhere and, with a little luck, sea turtles will accompany us underwater.

We return to Lombok in the late afternoon.

Accommodation:
Inspired by traditional Balinese architecture, Jeeva Klui Resort offers spacious rooms, tropical gardens and a magnificent beachfront infinity pool, perfect for enjoying a well-deserved moment of relaxation.

DAY 6 · SENGGIGI > SEKONGKANG (SUMBAWA) | 200 km
Today’s route follows Lombok’s spectacular northern coastal road, one of Indonesia’s finest motorcycle roads. Lightly trafficked, it winds between crystal-clear bays while the majestic Mount Rinjani remains constantly visible on the horizon.

At Kayangan Harbour we board the ferry with our motorcycles for a two-hour crossing to Sumbawa.

Upon arrival, we discover an entirely different atmosphere. Quiet roads trace the eastern coastline through landscapes still untouched by mass tourism.

Accommodation:
Located directly on the beach, Kachappa Beach Hotel is a charming boutique property combining comfort, simplicity and elegant decoration. Dinner will be served on its private beach.

DAY 7 · SEKONGKANG > MOYO UTARA | 200 km
One of the most adventurous riding days of the expedition awaits.

We begin by following the spectacular southern coastline along a narrow ridge road offering uninterrupted ocean views, often without encountering another vehicle. The route then heads inland across remote regions of Sumbawa, where lush forests, isolated villages and winding roads provide an authentic riding experience rarely found elsewhere.

Late in the afternoon we reach the peaceful bay of Moyo Utara.

Accommodation:
The Samawa Seaside Resort offers authentic accommodation in traditional lumbung-style bungalows facing the sea, surrounded by tropical gardens and a beautiful swimming pool.

DAY 8 · MOYO UTARA | REST DAY
Before sunrise we board a traditional fishing boat and head into the calm waters of Moyo Bay, one of the best places in Indonesia to encounter whale sharks.

Meeting local krill fishermen as they haul in their nets, we spend the morning observing—and, conditions permitting, swimming alongside—these magnificent gentle giants in their natural environment.

After returning to the hotel for lunch, the afternoon is free to relax by the sea or enjoy the resort’s facilities before the final days of the expedition.

In the evening, a seafood barbecue on the beach provides the perfect ending to an unforgettable day.

DAY 9 · MOYO UTARA > BIMA | 260 km
Today’s stage is one of the longest and most rewarding of the journey.

Crossing Sumbawa from west to east, we ride through mountain landscapes, endless rice fields and authentic villages where daily life has changed little over the years. The almost deserted roads make this one of Indonesia’s finest motorcycle experiences.

By late afternoon we arrive in Bima, the gateway to Flores and Komodo National Park.

Accommodation:
Simple but comfortable accommodation in Bima.

DAY 10 · BIMA > LABUAN BAJO (KOMODO NATIONAL PARK)
In the morning we ride to Sape Harbour, where our motorcycles remain behind as we board a private speedboat for a full-day exploration of the magnificent Komodo National Park.

The cruise includes several snorkelling stops above pristine coral reefs, including the famous Pink Beach, renowned for its unique rose-coloured sand.

Later, accompanied by park rangers, we land on Komodo Island to observe the legendary Komodo dragons in their natural habitat.

Before reaching Flores, we make one final stop on Padar Island, whose breathtaking panoramic viewpoint offers one of Indonesia’s most iconic landscapes.

Accommodation:
Surrounded by lush tropical gardens, Puri Sari Beach Hotel offers spacious rooms, swimming pools and an excellent spa. Located away from the town centre, it provides complete tranquillity. Dinner will be served on the hotel’s private beach.

DAY 11 · LABUAN BAJO > BALI
Morning transfer to the airport for your flight back to Bali.

The remainder of the day is free to enjoy Seminyak at your own pace. You may wish to browse the boutiques, relax on the beach or indulge in a traditional Balinese spa treatment.

In the evening, we gather for a farewell dinner with the team while watching one final sunset over Bali’s famous surf beaches.

Accommodation:
Kayumas Seminyak Resort is a peaceful retreat in the heart of Seminyak. Its spacious contemporary suites and villas, surrounded by lush tropical gardens, provide the perfect setting to relax after this unforgettable adventure.
