DAY 1 – ARRIVAL IN JAKARTA
Arrival in Jakarta, immigration formalities and transfer to the TUGU hotel. Dinner included at Hotel Tugu.
Meals included: Dinner (drinks not included)

DAY 2 – DISCOVERY OF JAKARTA
Breakfast at the hotel. Take a tour of the Indonesian capital and its vibrant Chinatown.
Visit the Istiqlal Mosque and the neighboring Catholic Cathedral. Marvel at Southeast Asia’s largest mosque and the early‑20th century neo‑Gothic church. Their side-by-side proximity symbolizes religious tolerance and Indonesia’s cultural diversity.
Continue to the Glodok Chinatown district, home to Indonesia’s largest Chinese community. Immerse yourself in the bustling commercial life and see residents trading goods. Visit the 17th‑century Vihara Dharma Bhakti temple; established in 1650, it is Jakarta’s oldest temple.
Next, ride a local BAJAJ transport to Fatahillah Square. Once the heart of colonial administration in the 18th century, the square hosts several well-preserved colonial buildings. On the west side is the Wayang Museum (puppet museum), dedicated to Indonesia’s storytelling traditions.

Lunch will be served at Café Batavia, located in Taman Fatahillah in old Jakarta (Kota). With large louvered windows letting in light, views over Fatahillah Square, and period colonial furniture, this café will surely transport you to the colonial era.
The afternoon is free for you to stroll, explore local warungs / restaurants, or unwind on your own.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch (drinks not included)

DAY 3 – JAKARTA → YOGYAKARTA → PRAMBANAN DISCOVERY
At the arranged time, transfer to Jakarta airport for the flight to Yogyakarta. On arrival, our regional guide will meet you with a sign bearing your name. We’ll transfer about 2 hours to visit the Prambanan Hindu complex, the largest Hindu sanctuary in Indonesia. These temples are dedicated to the three major Hindu deities: Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant very close to the temple. After visiting Prambanan, we continue to your hotel. After a long day, enjoy a BBQ dinner.

BBQ dinner  at Terrace Refresh – drinks not included
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner (drinks not included)

DAY 4 – BOROBUDUR, VW TOUR & 4×4 MERAPI TOUR
After breakfast, we will visit the Borobudur Temple. Borobudur (or Candi Borobudur in Indonesian) is the largest Buddhist monument in the world. It lies about 40 km northwest of the cultural city of Yogyakarta. It was built between the late 8th and early 9th centuries by Smaragunta, a ruler of the Sailendra dynasty. Over time, volcanic eruptions and jungle growth concealed it, and it was largely forgotten until rediscovery in the 19th century.
Next, we’ll take a local ride in classic Volkswagens (VW) through nearby villages to reach a restaurant located at higher elevation, offering superb views.
Then, brace yourself for a 4×4 tour around Mount Merapi! In this unique adventure, you will trace volcanic impacts—lava stones, eruption patterns, and other signs—on a route from the Merapi base to Kali Adem.
Return to the hotel after this magnificent day and enjoy an evening at leisure.
Note: On Mondays, the sites of Prambanan, Borobudur, and the Sultan’s Palace are closed. Access to the upper levels of Borobudur is subject to availability and requires prior reservation. If you wish to go up, prebooking is possible (group visit in English). If the reservation is not secured, it can’t be included. Access is contingent. Tickets open a week in advance.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch (drinks not included)

DAY 5 – BICYCLE & CANOE IN THE COUNTRYSIDE
This day we take a lovely walking route through the Oya area, enjoying natural beauty: rice paddies, rivers, tropical forest. After that, enjoy a bicycle ride (10 km / ~3 h) through the traditional villages of Selopamioro & Sriharjo, with the option to kayak.
A full day immersed in local culture and the natural surroundings of Yogyakarta. Lunch with a host family.
Dinner on your own.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch (drinks not included)

DAY 6 – DISCOVER YOGYAKARTA & DINNER AT LADOSAN DAHAR
8:00 – Depart from Garrya Bianti for your city tour.
8:30 – Visit the Sultan’s Palace (Kraton), a majestic symbol of Javanese culture.
10:00 – Explore Taman Sari (Water Palace), known for historic pools and secret corridors.
11:30 – Heritage walk in Kotagede, strolling ancient alleyways, visiting silver workshops, and admiring timeless architecture.
13:30 – Lunch at a local restaurant — authentic Javanese flavors.
14:30 – Return by car to the hotel.
15:00 – Arrive at the hotel; free time to relax or explore.
18:00 – Pick-up for a special dinner at Ladosan Dahar in the Royal Ambarrukmo.
Imagine a beautifully set table in the historic Royal Ambarrukmo in Yogyakarta, where ancient Javanese culinary art meets contemporary refinement. The evening begins in an immersive atmosphere — royal servants dressed in traditional attire (jarik, blangkon, samir) carry dishes in wooden boxes (Jodhang) as a graceful procession reminiscent of past Kraton feasts.
The Menu
A true homage to Javanese gastronomy: dishes once favored by sultans, seasoned with care — marinated meats, fresh vegetables, local spices and sauces. Artistic presentation, served by abdi dalem (royal attendants), each gesture steeped in tradition.
Musical or cultural accompaniment is often included — a classical Javanese dance (e.g. Srimpi Pandhelori) may enhance your experience, blending culture, history, and gastronomy.
Ambiance: Soft lighting, elegant palace décor, the scents of spices and herbs like ginger, lemongrass, coconut, palm sugar, and sambal will fill the air. Each bite offers a subtle balance of sweetness, spice and texture, all served with ceremonial attention that brings alive the living heritage of the Kraton.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner (drinks not included)

DAY 7 – YOGYAKARTA → MALANG (BY TRAIN)

Transfer to the train station and depart for Malang (approx. 4 h). Upon arrival, explore Malang’s colorful districts & villages. Malang is a charming city with Dutch colonial architecture in East Java. But our highlight is visiting its colorful villages—initiatives by university students to revitalize neglected areas. Under the Embong Brantas Bridge, you’ll see Kampung Warna Warni Jodipan and Kampung Tridi Kesatrian, and across, the blue village Kampung Biru Arema.
Meals included: Breakfast

DAY 8 – THE MAGNIFICENT TUMPAK SEWU WATERFALL – BROMO
On Java Island lies the marvelous Tumpak Sewu (Coban Sewu) waterfall. East of Java, about two hours from Malang. The site forms a semicircular cascade where the Glidih River descends ~120 m.
Its name means “thousand waterfalls” in Javanese; though probably fewer, the spectacle amid lush vegetation remains breathtaking. In the background, the Semeru volcano (active) rises, adding drama to the scenery.
Access is somewhat challenging, though the vision—evoking Jurassic Park or Indiana Jones—makes it worth the effort.
Afterward, transfer to Bromo.
Meals included: Breakfast

DAY 9 – SUNRISE AT BROMO → SURABAYA
Early departure (03:00) by 4×4 jeep toward the Bromo viewpoint to witness the sunrise, with volcanoes Bromo and Semeru rising in the background over a “lunar” landscape. Next, ascend to the ring of the Bromo crater, where you can see the smoking crater. Return to the hotel for breakfast, then depart by vehicle to Surabaya (3‑4 hours), where you’ll overnight.
Note: It’s cold at Bromo. Long pants and long sleeves recommended. Jackets can be rented on site (approx. 3‑4 euros — ask your guide).
Meals included: Breakfast

DAY 10 – SURABAYA → LABUAN BAJO
At the arranged time, transfer to the airport for a flight to Labuan Bajo. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel and welcome by staff.
Meals included: Breakfast

DAY 11 – LABUAN BAJO – DAY 1 OF CRUISE
Board the boat and head toward Kelor Island, a great spot for swimming and snorkeling. Then hike toward Padar Island. The landscapes on Padar are incomparable: grassy hills, sweeping views, and vantage points that reveal four crescent-shaped beaches—a perfect backdrop for unforgettable photos.
Next, cruise toward Komodo. Magical moments guaranteed!

DAY 12 – KOMODO → LONG BEACH → TATA MAKASSAR

Then cruise to Long Beach, offering excellent snorkeling. You may spot turtles, sharks, manta rays, giant trevallies, giant clams, sponges, and cuttlefish. Relax and enjoy beach time on Karang Makassar.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner (alcoholic drinks not included)

DAY 13 – SEBAYUR → KANAWA → SUDAMALA SERAYA
